Praise the Lord!

Worshiping is one of the best ways to deepen your faith and grow closer with our Father. Every weekend parishioners raise their voices and sing to worship our Lord. There are many opportunities to volunteer and become an integral part of the worship team. If you love to sing and want to be involved with the team there any many opportunities for you.

"Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples." 1 Chronicles 16:23-24

Below are the following opportunities to serve the Worship team.

Altar Linen Care

With deep love and reverence for the Holy Eucharist, the Altar Linen Care Ministry cares for the sacred linens. This invisible yet very essential ministry provides for the cleaning and pressing of the altar linens and purifications that are used each week during Mass.

Altar Server

The Altar Server provides a service to God's people especially by assisting the priest during Mass. Altar Servers add a spirit of prayerfulness and grace to the parish worship. It is recommended that the server be at least in the fifth grade. We encourage Young Adults, adults and families to serve.

Art/Environment

The Art and Environment ministry creates an atmosphere with the liturgical space that invites and inspires the assembly to full and conscious participation. Members in this ministry assist with planning the design, set up, removal and storage of the décor in relation to each liturgical season

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion

Through the ministry of Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion we offer ourselves as part of the worshiping people of God by assisting the priest with the distribution of Holy Communion. Also, there is the opportunity to provide for the hospitalized, the homebound, and those in nursing homes and other health-care institutions to receive Holy Communion frequently, and important pastoral responsibility.

Hospitality

Whether you serve as a greeter, an usher, or both, you play one of the most important roles in creating a welcoming atmosphere. The minister of hospitality sets the tone for everyone who enters St. Gabriel Parish, conveying the sacredness of what we believe about the mystery that is taking place in the liturgy. As a Minister if Hospitality you are a positive presence within the parish. "Welcome: implies "I am happy that you have come."
