WELCOME to St. Gabriel Faith Formation
St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Parish assists parents in the religious upbringing of their children by providing Faith Formation and sacramental preparation for students in Grades 1-11. Through classroom learning, small group discussions, crafts, activities, reflection, and family events, we aim to help young people grow as disciples of Jesus.
Our program serves families and students who come from the Neenah Joint School District, St. Mary Catholic Schools, and home schools.
Our desire is to walk alongside every family, supporting each person in their own journeys of faith,
and building families that are confidently able to live lives of faithful witness to the Gospel and the love of Jesus Christ.

Program Registration – 2 Steps
Step 1: Entering basic family information into the Faith Formation database.
Step 2: Registering for classes, indicating Tuition options and volunteer interests, signing a Media Release form, and acknowledging the Parent Handbook.
Information to Consider before Registering
Class Times
Elementary – Grades 1-6
- Wednesdays from 4:30 – 5:40 pm or 6:00 – 7:10 pm.
- Families have the option to choose either class time.
Middle School – Grades 7-8
- Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:10 pm or 7:30 – 8:40 pm.
- Another Option is a Two-Week Summer Intensive Program (see below)
- Families have the option to choose either class time.
High School – Grades 9-10
- Wednesdays from 7:30 – 8:40 pm.
- Another Option is a Two-Week Summer Intensive Program (see below)
High School – Grade 11 (Confirmation)
- Wednesdays from 7:30 – 8:40 pm.
Two-Week Summer Intensive Program
This option is available only to grades 7-10. Registration for this two-week program closes at the end-of-day on Monday, July 6, 2026.
- In lieu of weekly classes on Wednesdays during the school year, students may register to take classes during the two-week period of July 13-17 & 20-24, 2026. These ten classes will be held Monday through Friday. The two class options are either 9:00 – 11:34 am or 4:00 – 6:34 pm. No absences will be allowed during the Two-Week Summer Intensive Program. And the number of instructional hours is the same as students who attend on Wednesday evenings during the regular school year. Please click HERE for more information.
- Registering for the Two-Week Summer Intensive Program does not excuse a student from participation in other aspects of the Faith Formation Program, such as: Sunday Mass attendance, online reflections, periodic online knowledge assessments, demonstration of standard Catholic prayers, and (for 9th & 10th Graders) the selection of a Confirmation name and sponsor by the end of 10th Grade. The Two-Week Summer Option is only a substitute for the weekly Wednesday class portion of the overall Faith Formation Program.
Home Study Program
Home Study is NOT available for those who are preparing to receive the Sacraments of 1st Reconciliation, 1st Communion, or Confirmation (Grades 2 & 11).
- Children and students in a home study program must meet with a Faith Formation staff person on a regular basis. Families are expected to attend all family events listed in this handbook. Regular tuition & fees apply.
- Home study for Faith Formation classes is available for families who cannot attend regular Faith Formation classes.
- This option is available only upon request and acceptance by the Faith Formation staff. A contract for home study must be filled out and returned to the Faith Formation Office before the program begins.

Tuition and Fees
Our program serves families and students who come from the Neenah Joint School District, St. Mary Catholic Schools, and home schools.
For families whose children will be taking regular weekly religious education classes (or the Two-Week Summer Program) through the St. Gabriel Faith Formation Program:
Tuition for Grades 1-10 is $140 per student, with a maximum of $420 per family.
For families whose children are preparing to receive sacraments of the Church, there are Materials & Retreat Fees (which are over and above any regular tuition amounts, including the family maximum):
- First Reconciliation (typically Grade 2)* is $25 per student
- First Communion (typically Grade 2)* is $30 per student
- Confirmation (Grade 11) is $170 per student
* Please note: Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion is typically done in 2nd Grade. However, if your child has not received either of these sacraments and is older than 2nd Grade, please contact Tina at tpeirick@smcatholicschools.org or (920) 725-0660 to inquire about receiving these sacraments.
Payments

- RaiseRight (SCRIP) Credit is available by indicating Faith Formation Tuition on your SCRIP Order Form or Online orders. Please call 920-725-0660 for any questions about SCRIP Credits for Faith Formation Tuition
- All Faith Formation Volunteers will be eligible for a credit towards tuition.
- All payments are due by April 1, 2027
