“When families bring children into the world, train them in faith and sound values, and teach them to contribute to society, they become a blessing in our world.”

Pope Francis

St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Community is proud to offer Faith Formation Classes for all children in Grades 1-11. Through classroom learning, small group discussions, crafts, activities and family events, we aim to help young people grow as disciples of Jesus. Our desire is to walk alongside every family, supporting each person in their own faith journey, and building families that are confidently able to live lives of faithful witness to the Gospel and the love of Jesus Christ. Come Join Us – All are Welcome!

Middle School – Grades 7 and 8

  • Classes for middle school meet Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 and utilize the EDGE Curriculum from LifeTeen. Students will meet as a combined large group and then breakout into smaller groups by grade for more personal discussion and conversation.

High School – Grades 9 and 10

  • NEW for the 2023/24 School Year! Grades 9 and 10 will be meeting on Wedneday nights from 7:15 to 8:45 pm, each week from mid September through December. In January of 2024, students Grades 9 and 10 will meet every other week through April. In our time together, we will explore who Jesus is, why he matters, and what difference it makes in each of our lives today. With the guidance of small group leaders, students will break out into small groups to discuss the week’s topic, burning questions, doubts, fears….and anything else that might come up! Our Faith Formation model focuses on faith and living as a Chritian disciple as a life-long lifestyle, not something to be learned for the test and set on the shelf. With that in mind, we understand that kids are busy and scheduling conflicts happen. We would love to see your student as often as they are able! If you have any questions, give Meredith a call to talk about how we can best support your family.

Confirmation – Grade 11

  • NEW for the 2023/24 School Year! Confirmation classes will be meeting on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:45, each week from mid September through December. In January of 2024, Confirmation students will meet every other week through April. Confirmation Candidates are also required to attend the January weekend retreat, which is covered in the cost of the program. All Confirmation students will select a Confirmation Sponsor. This person must be a practicing Catholic, more than 16 years old, and cannot be a parent of the student. Materials will be provided to the student to go through with their sponsor, so they are encouraged to select someone with whom they have means of regular communication and are able to talk comfortably with about their faith. Enrollment in 9th and 10 grade class is a prerequisite for Confirmation Preparation, unless the student is currently enrolled in Catholic Education. Please contact Meredith Lauer at mlauer@smcatholicschools.org or 920-725-0660 for any questions regarding Confirmation.
