St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Community is proud to offer Faith Formation Classes for all children in Grades 1-11. Through classroom learning, small group discussions, crafts, activities and family events, we aim to help young people grow as disciples of Jesus. Our desire is to walk alongside every family, supporting each person in their own faith journey, and building families that are confidently able to live lives of faithful witness to the Gospel and the love of Jesus Christ. Come Join Us – All are Welcome!

Faith Formation Classes:

Elementary – Grades 1-6

  • Classes meet Wednesday afternoon 4:30pm to 5:30pm or Wednesday evening 6:00pm to 7:00pm *Please indicate your preference for Class Time in the NOTES section of the registration form.**
  • Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion are typically in 2nd grade. If your child has not received these sacraments and is older than 2nd grade, please contact Tina at tpeirick@smcatholicschools.org or 920-725-0660 to inquire about receiving these sacraments.

Middle School – Grades 7 and 8

  • Classes for middle school meet Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Students will meet as a combined large group and then breakout into smaller groups by grade for more personal discussion and conversation.

High School – Grades 9 and 10

  • Grades 9 and 10 will be meeting on Wednesday nights from 7:15pm to 8:30 pm, each week. In our time together, we will explore who Jesus is, why he matters, and what difference it makes in each of our lives today. With the guidance of small group leaders, students will break out into small groups to discuss the week’s topic, burning questions, doubts, fears….and anything else that might come up! Our Faith Formation model focuses on faith and living as a Christian disciple as a life-long lifestyle, not something to be learned for the test and set on the shelf.

Confirmation – Grade 11

  • For the 2025-26 School Year, Confirmation Classes will be held on Sundays, following the 5:00pm Mass. Diocesan Guidelines require that all students, whether public school or Catholic school, prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation through regular class meetings, a retreat, and completion of work with their Confirmation Sponsor. Sponsors must be a practicing Catholic, more than 16 years old, and cannot be a parent of the student. Materials will be provided to the student to go through with their sponsor, so they are encouraged to select someone with whom they have means of regular communication and are able to talk comfortably with about their faith.
  • Enrollment in 9th and 10 grade class either in Faith Formation or at a Catholic High School is a prerequisite for Confirmation Preparation. The Confirmation Mass this year will be held on Thursday, May 14th, 2026 at 6:00pm. Please contact Victor Meschi at 920-725-0660 or vmeschi@smcatholicschools.org for any questions regarding Confirmation.
  • Classes will be held Sunday Evenings when Neenah Schools, or St. Mary Catholic are not closed the Friday before or the Monday after. A full Faith Formation schedule can be found below, or you can click here to add our schedule to your Google Calendar. Confirmation Prep Google Calendar
